Junior-Enterprises are economically and educationally oriented organisations fully managed by students.
« Established within Belgian Universities and Colleges, Junior-Enterprises allow students to put into practice the theoretical education they receive by achieving projects for various kind of customers: entrepreneurs, SME's, corporations, associations, etc. Each Junior-Enterprise is then reflecting the academically developed competencies and the know-how from its school of establishment. »(Definition : JADE Belgium)
1. Management Team
Members of the management team manage the Junior-Entreprise. Around 50 members, divided into 8 different departements, carry out the daily management tasks that make up for the success of N-HiTec . These departements are representative of the conventional hierarchy of a consulting company.
Eight administrators (one in each departement) form, with the president, the board of directors, which take important managing decisions, especially about the JE's strategy. These meetings take place once a week to discuss some important choices to make in the short term, and to report the activities carried out by the different departments.
The Project department is the main department of the Junior-Entreprise. It is formed by project managers. These are trained in managing projects and depend on the administrator and the client. Then, they send objectives and deadlines for each project to working students. They follow the whole project throughout its realization and regularly make reports to the client and to the administrator.
2. The working students
The Treasurer must ensure that the company is in good financial shape.
His tasks are varied and include budgetisation, accounting, issue of invoices, receipt of payment and hiring personnel.
The department ‘s role is To organise events for the members of N-hitec as well as for other students of the faculty .
Internally, the purpose of these events is To tighten the bonds between members through some team building. Externally, the department ensures visibility across students and offers them the possiblity of acquiring some skills through a variety of workshops.
The Infrastructure Department is in charge of all N-HiTec hardware and software. It manages in particular the website, the mail service as well as any other computer tool useful to the JE. The department is attentive to the needs of the JE and develops each year new IT tools for members to manage their department. The local N-HiTec and its equipment are also managed by the department.

Guaranteeing the client's satisfaction is essential for an enterprise. It leads to renewing contracts, establish partnership or being known by word of mouth.
Quality’s role is to ensure this client’s satisfaction.
To this end, we must define a clear methodology to respond to our best to the clients' and N-HiTec partners' requests.
The main activity of the Quality department is thus to analyse every aspect of the Junior Entreprise in order to find improvements and to ensure thereby a better operation of N-HiTec. All management methods are written down to ensure their success and their long-term sustainability. The Quality procedure guarantees an efficient and clear daily management .
Moreover, the department also takes part in the set up of these new management methods, their utilization and, by an active listening of what users needs when using the process, to their evolution.
The Public Relations Department is in charge of the mediation between N-HiTec, the different partners ,as well as the faculty.
Reflecting the image of the Junior Company, the department must fulfill tasks as varied as the negotiation of new contracts, the maintenance of visibility on social networks, or the establishment of external communication strategies.
The department is in charge of promoting various events organized by the JC but can also take part in the organization of some of them (business games, conferences, competitions or training).
In addition, it is in charge of establishing new partnerships and maintaining sustainable relationships with the major partners of the Junior Company (CIT Blaton, VOO, Technifutur, etc.). Finally, the department is a link between N-HiTec and other Junior Companies. Indeed, the department strives to maintain a good reputation within the JADE network (Belgium and Europe) for the development of international relations.
